Lucas Sanford

Vice President

Lucas has been racing RC cars competitively since 2006. He won the first big racing series he entered, the Best of the West Nitro Series in Southern California in 2007. Lucas followed that up with a series win of the JBRL.

Lucas received a baseball scholarship to pitch at California State University San Bernardino. As a member of the CSUSB Coyote baseball team, he set the all-time winning percentage record for a pitcher in CSUSB baseball history, with an 11-1 record and a 2.68 ERA. While at CSUSB, Lucas received his degree in Administration and Information Management. After graduation in March of 2012, Lucas jumped back into RC, racing electric 1/10 scale and 1/8 scale.

Of the eighteen 1/8 scale races that Lucas competed in during 2012, he got the TQ in fourteen of them, with podium finishes in fifteen of the eighteen races. After signing with AKA Racing in May of 2012, Lucas won a number of 1/10 scale electric races, including the inaugural Track Star Grand Prix and the Top Notch series.

Recently, Lucas returned to his roots and has begun racing 1/8 scale nitro again (buggy and truggy).
